City wants you to Have Your Say about its customer facilities
16 July 2024
The City of Cape Town has launched its Have Your Say survey at 35 facilities where we serve customers. We encourage residents to participate by popping their feedback into one of the survey boxes when visiting these facilities. The City will consider all of the input and suggestions that we receive and will use the feedback to further improve our services. The boxes are ready and waiting for your comment.
'The Have Your Say survey has been running for just over two months now. The volume of feedback received thus far has been encouraging. We know there are so many residents out there who have valuable inputs and suggestions on how we can further improve on our services, and facilities and the Have Your Say boxes are intended for this purpose. They are conveniently located at local City facilities, and we can assure residents that each and every form will be considered. This campaign is very close to my heart because it is a valuable tool for us to get a true indication of residents' first-hand experience of our customer services,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys
Over 1 300 surveys have been captured to date. The City's Facility Management Department finds that the majority of the customers who visit these facilities prefer to complete the survey manually and to deal with the trained staff face-to-face when obtaining information. These customers often have limited access to electronic devices and therefore appreciate and prefer to give their feedback in this manner.
The Facilities Management Department records the feedback received via these Have Your Say boxes on a weekly basis and where residents have highlighted areas of concern or have made some recommendations, the team addresses the issues directly with the staff managing the specific facility.
'This survey has been especially helpful in addressing any challenges where customers interact directly with staff. By utilising the data we receive with this survey we have the opportunity to continuously improve the public's experience at our facilities,' said Uys.
